This is not necessary and actually causes a hang; it was probably copied and pasted from KVM code, that is one of the very few places that run outside iothread lock. Corey Minyard	90b6180500	ipmi: Add a firmware configuration repository ... Add a way for IPMI devices to register their firmware information with the IPMI subsystem so that various firmware entities can pull that information later for adding to firmware tables. Corey Minyard	23076bb34b	Add a base IPMI interface ... Add the basic IPMI types and infrastructure to QEMU.
