Commit 0be6bfac62 ("qdev: Implement variable length array properties")
added the DEFINE_PROP_ARRAY() macro with the following comment:
* It is the responsibility of the device deinit code to free the
* @_arrayfield memory.
Commit 8077b8e549 added:
DEFINE_PROP_ARRAY("reserved-regions", VirtIOIOMMUPCI,
vdev.nb_reserved_regions, vdev.reserved_regions,
qdev_prop_reserved_region, ReservedRegion),
but forgot to free the 'vdev.reserved_regions' array. Do it in the
instance_finalize() handler.

Rename VirtIOIOMMU (nb_)reserved_regions fields with the "prop_" prefix
to highlight those fields are set through a property, at machine level.
They are IOMMU wide.
A subsequent patch will introduce per IOMMUDevice reserved regions
that will include both those IOMMU wide property reserved
regions plus, sometimes, host reserved regions, if the device is
backed by a host device protected by a physical IOMMU. Also change
nb_ prefix by nr_.

In theory the virtio-iommu-pci could be plugged anywhere in the PCIe
topology and as long as the dt/acpi info are properly built this should
work. However at the moment we fail to do that because the
virtio-iommu-pci BDF is not computed at plug time and in that case
vms->virtio_iommu_bdf gets an incorrect value.
For instance if the virtio-iommu-pci is plugged onto a pcie root port
and the virtio-iommu protects a virtio-block-pci device the guest does
not boot.
So let's do not pretend we do support this case and fail the initialize()
if we detect the virtio-iommu-pci is plugged anywhere else than on the
root bus. Anyway this ability is not needed.

Commit 9b3a35ec82 ("virtio: verify that legacy support is not
accidentally on") added a safety check that requires to set
'disable-legacy=on' on virtio-iommu-pci:
qemu-system-aarch64: -device virtio-iommu-pci: device is modern-only,
use disable-legacy=on
virtio-iommu was introduced after the release of VIRTIO 1.0
specifications, so it should be 'modern-only'.
This patch forces virtio version 1 and removes the 'transitional_name'
property removing the need to specify 'disable-legacy=on' on
virtio-iommu-pci device.

Some typedefs and macros are defined after the type check macros.
This makes it difficult to automatically replace their
definitions with OBJECT_DECLARE_TYPE.
Patch generated using:
$ ./scripts/codeconverter/converter.py -i \
--pattern=QOMStructTypedefSplit $(git grep -l '' -- '*.[ch]')
which will split "typdef struct { ... } TypedefName"
declarations.
Followed by:
$ ./scripts/codeconverter/converter.py -i --pattern=MoveSymbols \
$(git grep -l '' -- '*.[ch]')
which will:
- move the typedefs and #defines above the type check macros
- add missing #include "qom/object.h" lines if necessary

The object_property_set_FOO() setters take property name and value in
an unusual order:
void object_property_set_FOO(Object *obj, FOO_TYPE value,
const char *name, Error **errp)
Having to pass value before name feels grating. Swap them.
Same for object_property_set(), object_property_get(), and
object_property_parse().

Chokes on hw/arm/musicpal.c's lcd_refresh() with the unhelpful error
message "no position information". Convert that one manually.
Fails to convert hw/arm/armsse.c, because Coccinelle gets confused by
ARMSSE being used both as typedef and function-like macro there.

[Straightforwad conflict with commit 2336172d9b "audio: set default
value for pcspk.iobase property" resolved]
The machine may need to pass reserved regions to the
virtio-iommu-pci device (such as the MSI window on x86
or the MSI doorbells on ARM).
So let's add an array of Interval properties.
Note: if some reserved regions are already set by the
machine code - which should be the case in general -,
the length of the property array is already set and
prevents the end-user from modifying them. For example,
attempting to use:
-device virtio-iommu-pci,\
len-reserved-regions=1,reserved-regions[0]=0xfee00000:0xfeefffff:1
would result in the following error message:
qemu-system-aarch64: -device virtio-iommu-pci,addr=0xa,
len-reserved-regions=1,reserved-regions[0]=0xfee00000:0xfeefffff:1:
array size property len-reserved-regions may not be set more than once
Otherwise, for example, adding two reserved regions is achieved
using the following options:
-device virtio-iommu-pci,addr=0xa,len-reserved-regions=2,\
reserved-regions[0]=0xfee00000:0xfeefffff:1,\
reserved-regions[1]=0x1000000:100ffff:1

The Error ** argument must be NULL, &error_abort, &error_fatal, or a
pointer to a variable containing NULL. Passing an argument of the
latter kind twice without clearing it in between is wrong: if the
first call sets an error, it no longer points to NULL for the second
call.
virtio_gpu_pci_base_realize(), virtio_vga_base_realize(),
sparc32_ledma_device_realize(), sparc32_dma_realize(),
sparc32_dma_realize() xilinx_axidma_realize(), mips_cps_realize(),
macio_realize_ide(), xilinx_enet_realize(), and
virtio_iommu_pci_realize() are wrong that way: they reuse the argument
they pass to object_property_set_link() for another call.
Harmless, because object_property_set_link() can't actually fail for
them: it fails when the property doesn't exist, is not settable, or
its .check() method fails. Fix by passing &error_abort instead.

In addition to the qdev_create() patterns converted so far, we have a
qdev_set_parent_bus() pattern. Mostly when we embed a device in a
parent device rather than allocating it on the heap.
This pattern also puts devices in the dangerous "no QOM parent, but
plugged into bus" state I explained in recent commit "qdev: New
qdev_new(), qdev_realize(), etc."
Apply same solution: convert to qdev_realize(). Coccinelle script:

This patch adds virtio-iommu-pci, which is the pci proxy for
the virtio-iommu device.
Currently non DT integration is not yet supported by the kernel.
So the machine must implement a hotplug handler for the
virtio-iommu-pci device that creates the device tree iommu-map
bindings as documented in kernel documentation:
